Coach Megan Smith
In her short tenure as head softball coach, Megan Smith has made an immediate imprint on the program. Her emphasis on recruiting has paid off, as the Jayhawks posted their second-straight 30-win season at 31-20 overall and 6-17 in the Big 12 Conference, the most wins in conference play since the 2009 campaign. Last year’s team received votes in either the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, the NFCA Coaches/USA Today poll or both five different weeks in 2012, giving the fans at Arrocha Ballpark plenty of occasions to stand up and cheer.
